I was the key teacher responsible for delivering the Inclusive Preschool Program (IPP) for several years at a local kindergarten in the Adelaide hills. I have completed an additional Master's Degree in Disability Policy and Practice, kids yoga teacher training, interoception training, and recently life coaching certification which has enabled me to broaden my services to include teens and young adults with autism, and their families.
I felt a really strong pull to befriend, protect and nurture them. I guess it was only fitting that I ended up having a neurodivergent child of my own. His name is Bailey, and he has a twin sister Natalya. They’re both now 18 years of age and incredible human beings that continue to inspire my life and work.
Most importantly though, I too am a neurodivergent parent raising a proud autistic young man, and so I bring a unique perspective, understanding and empathy to this beautiful heart-centred business of mine. Every time I’m designing a new program or service offering, I have my son’s needs and interests in mind, and in turn what I as a parent desire from a service. So you better believe it’s my mission to become a leader in my field, and create some magical change within my industry.
For children to have fun and be celebrated and learn the tools to navigate the world around them but with a strong focus on building their confidence, self-esteem and self-worth. As well as individual sessions I created my group program ‘Bendy Buddies’, which is a unique approach blending social skills development with yoga, movement, breathwork, and kindness and compassion activities.
